Your extensions were applied using a professional light-cured lash adhesive.  Unlike traditional  lash adhesive that continues curing after your appointment, UV/LED adhesive is cured on demand during application.

Yes, You Can Get Them Wet
Good news!  With our UV/LED lash system, you do not need to follow the traditional 24-48 hour "don't get your lashes wet" rule.  The adhesive is cured using a specialized light during your appointment, so properly cured extensions can be exposed to water after your service.
In fact, keeping your lash line clean is one of the most important things you can do for both lash hygiene and retention.

Clean Your Lashes Every Day
Using an extension-safe lash cleanser:
1.  Gently cleanse your lash line and extensions
2. Carefully rinse away the cleanser
3. Pat around the eyes gently--never rub
4. Allow the lashes to air dry or dry them using cool air
5. Once completely dry, gently brush them with a clean spoolie
Don't be afraid to wash your extensions.  Oils, makeup, dead skin and debris accumulating along the lash line are not your friends.  Clean Lashes = Happy Lashes.

Avoid Picking and Pulling
Never pull, twist, or pick at your extensions.  Each extension is attached to an individual natural lash.  Pulling an extension can pull or damage your natural lash along with it.  Let extensions shed naturally with your lash growth cycle.

Be Careful with Heat
Avoid exposing your extensions to excessive direct heat.  High heat can distort or singe synthetic lash fibers even when the adhesive bond itself is secure.

Makeup and Skincare
Avoid products that leave excessive residue along the lash line.  If you wear eyeliner or eye makeup, remove it thoroughly each day using extension-compatible products.  Avoid waterproof mascara on your extensions.  In most cases, mascara isn't necessary anyways.  That's one of the perks of having extensions!

Sleep Smart
Whenever possible, avoid repeatedly crushing your lashes into your pillow.  Side and stomach sleepers may notice more shedding or misshapen extensions on the side they sleep on most.

Don't Use a Mechanical Lash Curler
Never us a traditional clamp-style eyelash curler on your extensions.  It can bend the extensions, compromise attachment points, and damage your natural lashes.

Keep Up with Your Fill-ins
Lash extensions shed naturally as your natural lashes complete their growth cycles.  Regular fill appointments replace extensions that have shed and maintain the shape and fullness of your set.  Come to your fill-in appointment with clean lashes and (if possible) no eye makeup so we can spend your appointment lashing rather than removing buildup.

One More Important Thing
UV/LED curing changes how the adhesive cures.  It does not make lash adhesive allergy-proof.  UV/LED lash adhesives can still contain cyanoacrylate, and clients can still develop an adhesive allergy.  If you experience significant swelling, persistent redness, pain, blistering, or other signs of a possible reaction, contact us promptly and seek medical care if symptoms are severe.  

For Amazing Retention:  Clean them.  Don't pick them.  Don't crush them.  Come back for your fills.
